One of two museums in Ravensberg Park (the other being the Huelsmann Museum), the History Museum ( Link ) is housed in the restored buildings of the former Ravensberg Spinning Mill. The History Museum illustrates the history of Bielefeld and its surroundings with the emphasis on industrialisation, which has been the formative influence on the town and the surrounding countryside since the middle of the 19th century. The Museum houses original machinery from Bielefeld's main industries, sewing machines, telephones and bicycles. Currently the museum is showing a special exhibition of working models of Leonardo da Vinci's many inventions.
